Course 15 - After Completion

Most owners think move-in day is the finish line. It is not. It is the beginning of your relationship with your new home and the final chapter of your builder relationship, and owners who do not understand what comes next leave money, protection, and warranty coverage on the table.

This course covers the final walk-through and punch list process, what your builder still owes you after the keys are handed over, what your warranty actually covers and how to document and report items, so they get addressed, and what your home needs in the first year to stay protected. You built something significant. This course makes sure it stays that way.

What Changes For You After This Course

  • You know what the final walk-through and Certificate of Occupancy actually mean and exactly what to inspect before you accept your home
  • You understand your warranty coverage in full: what is included, what is excluded, how long it lasts, and how to document and report items so they get resolved
  • You know what your home needs in the first year including settlement, seasonal adjustments, and system commissioning to protect your long-term investment
  • You close out your builder relationship correctly and protect everything you built from day one of ownership
